given what Austin said in the ending to the last Dice Funk, I figured I may start a little section for these. I've wanted to for a while, but figured I'd wait until we got closer to finishing.
I'm going to add more in over time, I had a bunch, but these are the ones I remember right now.
For everyone:
What was the single moment in the campaign that you feel best defined your character as a person? And do you have any teasers about season 3 you can drop? Did any of you have a backup character in case you died, and if so, can you tell us about them, or are they being saved for next season?
For Austin:
Can you give us some information about some of the NPC's the party didn't take with them? Like, class they would have been, role on the ship they may have filled ( i.e., what would have happened if Vinnie had taken Moreno over Cardinal Stabdaddy? How would he have functioned on the ship?)
Was it always the plan for "a-kid-pella" to be used as the ending music after a while, because holy shit, I cannot think of a more thematically appropriate song. That's actually entered my everyday listening music now, so thanks for that.
What was the biggest upset pulled by a PC in the campaign in terms of making you re-plan, or did you play fast and loose enough that it was never really a problem?
Also, this is very similar to Johnny's question below, but after playing Anne in season 1, was it nice to be able to be in charge of all the characters who knew what the fuck was going on for once?
For Leon:
Why a unicorn? What made you come up with that idea, something that is honestly such a cool, fantastic concept, and to pair it with a barbarian (or is that you preferring to avoid the complexity of spellcasting classes?)
Who did you prefer playing as more, Violet or Rinaldo?
If the series had ended differently (Zavala had been defeated, with all of you still alive), would Violet have returned to the Feywild, as a human, or would she have done something else?
For Skitch: He answered all my questions already, so I got nothin'. Sorry .
For Lauren:
I gotta say, first off, Vinnie grew on me quite a lot during the campaign. Was it difficult, playing a character who seems to avoid conflict wherever possible in a game that, lets face it, is predicated on the assumption that you are in a party of murder-hobos?
And how difficult do you reckon it might be in a more standard campaign, where it isn't necessarily possible to win without shedding blood everywhere.
For Johnny:
It seemed like you had a ball just cutting loose and playing Drop this season. Was it refreshing, getting to not be the one behind the mystical DM's screen? And do you think knowing the mechanics of the game from the standpoint of a DM changes how you approach it as a player?
And, uh, this one's not a question for any of you, but it's a thank you. This was a great goddamn season, and always continued to keep me entertained (and gave me something new to talk about with my dad, which was just really great.)
