The HOTTEST of takes, taken directly from the oven of my mind while the episode plays:
I agree that the adjusted rules for season 2 of Dice Funk make for more exciting and engaging characters and stories. One of the major hurdles that keeps me from joining an actual D&D game (besides my crippling social anxiety and generally shut-in nature) is that I lose track of all the numbers and rules and minor points, and it's kind of annoying to have my story ideas contradicted by rules I didn't know about suddenly popping up.
Drop/Alias fans got a nod! Woo!
The DF threads are influencing the story after all? Sweet~
It's weird, but I kind of prefer this Dice Funk metachat instead of games talk XD
So, is Joan gonna turn and do something crazy evil in the future? Aww... fitting, but it makes me sad nonetheless.
Ugh, college... so I went for four years, didn't have a job, focused on school, did amazingly well... and now I'm in major debt and I still have a shitty retail job. It was fun, but I don't know if it was worth it, really...
Also: Kids, don't go for an english degree. You're either a writer or you're not, and no amount of college will fix that.
So THAT's what happened with Steven Universe? I've been seeing bits of the fallout from that and didn't know because I've only ever seen one episode (it was okay, didn't inspire me to watch more though).
Also, I think the diversity rabbit hole is a lot of what causes the anti-SJW backlash (which I know the guys have complained about on Word Funk, that people would be against being socially progressive). Progressive ideas can be taken to such a ridiculous, unrealistic ideal that it becomes a game of "I'm more progressive than you are!" instead of actually trying to appreciate people.
DF Season 3 has... characters? Gah, spoilers! >.<
Old questions and lurking Lauren? Hooray!
No answers on yaoi hands, I didn't even know that was a thing XD
It me! 144 characters couldn't possibly contain the disgusting pervert that is me (plus it would have limited my already limited twitter audience), but here I'm free to say whatever I want XD.
(Also blame Random, she encouraged me >u>)
Austin's into BEEEEEP too? Awesome
Yeah, Austin, I answered it. If you're lurking here, go lurk over on the "Good Question" thread to read up on that.
Suicide Squad was an editing mess, but I kind of liked it. I get that Harley/Joker are the most popular characters in the movie, but really, Harley being on the team was just asking for trouble (what did she add to the team, anyway?). I did like Will Smith as Deadshot; he was pretty charming without being too much of a good guy or bad guy, just a mercenary. Also, the movie needed more Enchantress. Mayan-ish creepy magic girl? Yes please ;D
Thanks for the episode, Austin and Lauren! My funk withdrawal was starting to get pretty bad XD
