Ok, I gotta say something. .......... your stay right here, buddy
I went from "Hm, the other fans must be really funky and cool. I mean, they listen to this shit, right? Man, there's no good place to talk to each other" to "Hey Austin, I'm gonna make a forum" in about three minutes.
I knew the guys would help me promote it, but in line with my excessive self-awareness (I know, hard to tell), I was sure people would go "Really? It's just a bunch of podcasts, dude." I wondered if I overexaggerated how much stuff there was to talk about. I fully expected this to be a thing that people might occasionally check out when they had gone through the rest of the internet. Not because the funkyverse isn't awesome, but because I don't know how other people's brains work.
I've been part of a couple of other forums, sometimes fun, sometimes unpleasant, sometimes outright toxic.
Let me tell you something, I have no words for how great this place has turned out so far.
It's always fun and interesting to talk about actual canon stuff after the episodes. But then there's all the other shit you guys come up with to share and dig our greedy claws into, that really makes it shiny and sparkly like Drop's abs. I didn't dare hope for that in the beginning.
The community, despite being small, is a force to be reckoned with XD. With my previous forum experience, I definitely thought I would have to work. When people come together, stuff happens. But you guys are so positive, so encouraging, so open minded and just all around awesome. Despite this not being a kids' playground in the slightest, you are the Care Bears of internet forums.
What really makes me smile lately is reading through the introductions section. Every time a new person joins, the vets () come in and establish a sense of community for them right away. It's really, really cool.
As a special treat for my little forum plushies, here are a bunch of my nudes, enjoy!
